Just finished a 4000 sq ft slab pour in 90 degree heat and it came out perfect
We had a crew of four guys on a warehouse floor job in Tucson this week. The heat was brutal, hitting 95 by noon, and we were all sure the concrete would set up too fast. But we kept the misters going on the truck chutes and worked in tight sections. The boss even sprung for those big industrial fans to keep a breeze on the fresh finish. When we pulled the plastic this morning, it was glass smooth with zero cracks or crazing. Anyone have other tricks for hot weather pours that don't involve a night shift?

Glass smooth in that heat is a serious win... can't imagine how brutal that sun must have been on the crew.

Sun hats and a ton of water are the only way to survive that.
