Remember when you could just pour a slab without a million inspections?

Honestly, I had a job in Clearwater last month where the city inspector made us redo the vapor barrier three times. Ngl, what should have been a one-day prep turned into a full week just waiting on approvals and rework. Has anyone else run into this kind of red tape slowing a simple pour to a crawl?
