That $260 power trowel blade set burned me on a big garage floor

I dropped $260 on those fancy laser-welded blades for a 1,800 sq ft garage pour in Boise last month and they wore down in half the time of my usual cheap set. The edges chipped on the second pass because the concrete had a bit more aggregate than the spec sheet said. Has anyone else tried these higher priced blades and gone back to the standard ones?

Man, I gotta disagree with you there. I've run those laser blades on a handful of jobs and they lasted way longer than the cheap ones for me. Sounds like that aggregate might've just been rougher than usual, not a blade problem.
