The worst honeycomb patch job I ever had to fix took three days

Got called to a garage floor in Bakersfield where the homeowner tried to patch a big honeycomb spot himself with a bag of quickcrete and a garden hose. The mix was all wrong, full of voids, and just crumbled. I had to chip out a 4 foot by 4 foot area down to solid slab, which wrecked two chisel bits. Forming it back up and getting a decent finish on just that small section ate my whole weekend. Anyone ever deal with a DIY repair that was harder to fix than the original problem?

Remember my buddy's patio that he "fixed" with expanding foam and spray paint?

That "fixed" patio reminds me of my friend's duct tape boat patch, gibson.mark.

Got a cousin who tried that with his truck bed. Filled some rust holes with foam, shaved it flat, and rattle canned it gray. Looked okay for about two weeks until the first car wash. Whole patch just melted out in these weird foam globs rolling down the street. Honestly some people will try anything to avoid a real repair.
