Fog machine conspiracy at a local haunted house event

I ran a fog machine for a Halloween gig in Salem last month. 12 hours straight, it spat out this weird oily residue that stained my whole truck bed. The vendor manual said it was water-based. I took a sample to a local chem lab, they found mineral oil. Cost me $40 to find out the label was a lie. Anyone else caught a manufacturer faking their fluid specs?

Damn, did you keep the receipt for that lab test? That's some shady stuff right there, spraying mystery oil all over people's stuff and calling it water-based. I've run into similar lies with cheap gear before, it's always the little things that bite you in the wallet later. Good on you for actually getting it tested though, that's more than most folks would do. Hope you got your money back or at least left them a nasty review so nobody else gets burned.
