The 17th video finally made me believe the moon landing footage debate is pointless

I used to get into it with people online all the time about the moon landing. Not the usual 'it was faked' stuff, but the whole 'why did they film it the way they did' angle. I thought the lighting inconsistencies and the flag movement were super suspicious. Then last Tuesday I watched a breakdown by a guy who used to work on NASA film equipment. He walked through the specific camera angles and the 24fps thing with a laser pointer and a literal desk lamp. After 16 videos calling me a sheep, the 17th one actually explained the math behind the shadows. It was the 17th one that got me. Now I just feel dumb for not asking better questions sooner. Anyone else have a specific source that flipped a switch for them, or is it always just a pile of videos until one clicks?

I spent 3 years overlaying maps wrong, a hiking trail in Bend showed me

Tbh I used to just line up map edges by eye and call it good. Then last Saturday I was out near Tumalo Falls and my GPS kept saying I was 200 feet off the trail, but I was clearly standing on it. Turned out I never matched the grid lines, just the border of the page, so every overlay was tilted about 4 degrees. A buddy laughed and showed me how to use the corner ticks instead. My neighbor's 5G router got a bird nest inside it, now he thinks it's a government tracker

Last Tuesday I was helping my neighbor Dave swap out his internet router because the wifi kept dropping. When we popped the casing off, there was a tiny sparrow nest built right inside the fan vent, complete with three little eggs. Dave went pale and started whispering about how the router was secretly a listening device, and the birds were somehow part of the operation. I laughed so hard I nearly dropped the thing, but he was dead serious and took photos to post in some paranoid Facebook group. The week all my lights went out in August, was it a test or just bad luck?

That's 4 failures in 6 days, which statistically feels impossible. I didn't see any weird vans or hear buzzing, but the timing was too perfect to ignore. I don't buy the whole "5G towers are harmless" line anymore...

Look, I'm not saying they're cooking birds mid-air or whatever. But I worked a pressure washing job last summer behind a CVS in Phoenix that had a tower right on the roof. Two weeks straight I was up there on a lift, within maybe 30 feet of it. Started getting these splitting headaches around noon every day, like clockwork. Nothing helped. Then the job ended, I moved to a different site across town, and the headaches stopped completely after three days. Coincidence? Maybe. But I wasn't taking any supplements or changing my routine. Has anyone else had something like that happen after being near one for a long stretch?

Tried the whole 5G tower protest thing near my town and got a totally different result than I expected

So about 2 years ago there was a group of people in my neighborhood who went out to protest a new 5G tower going up by the old water tower on Oak Street. I decided to go check it out because I was curious about the health concerns people keep talking about online. Got there with my buddy Mike and we stood around for maybe 45 minutes. But then an engineer from the company actually showed up and started answering questions directly. He showed us the actual radiation output numbers and compared them to a microwave and a wifi router. Turned out the tower was putting out way less than I expected. I still think some of the stuff around signal tech is sketchy but that one guy changed my mind on this specific tower. Has anyone else ever had a tech person show up and explain things at a protest?

TIL my local zoo has a peacock that just screams at the glass all day

Honestly I went to the Riverside Zoo last Saturday with my niece and there's this one peacock near the reptile house that just parks itself in front of a mirrorlike window and screams for hours. I timed it, 45 minutes straight of this bird going off every 30 seconds while people just walked past like it was normal. My niece asked if it was trying to fight its own reflection and honestly I think she's onto something. The zookeeper told me it's been doing this for 6 months and they can't figure out why it won't stop. Ngl I feel like there's a deeper animal behavior conspiracy here about how zoos just let stuff slide if it makes a spectacle. Has anyone else seen a zoo animal doing something weirdly specific like this?
