Hit exactly 100k miles on my Honda this morning and the timing belt snapped 2 miles later
I drove that thing for 12 years with zero maintenance warnings and now I'm wondering if cars are designed to fail at round numbers on purpose, has anyone else seen a weird coincidence like this with a specific mileage mark?

My old Camry hit 60,060 miles on the nose and the alternator died the same afternoon. Either the engineers are having a laugh or they've got a sense of humor.
