I looked into the 1997 Phoenix Lights case again and the official story changed a lot
Back in the day, the Air Force said it was just flares from an A-10 training exercise. But by 2015, the former Arizona governor said he saw a huge, silent craft. The shift from 'military flares' to high-ranking officials talking about a solid object is pretty big. Has anyone found a good breakdown of when and why the explanation started to change?

Yeah, I saw a documentary that covered the governor's statement.

That documentary probably left out how many other officials changed their stories too.

Actually, I watched a few different ones on the topic. The governor's flip was the big one that kept coming up. The others seemed more like small details getting cleared up later. That's what stuck with me, anyway.
