I was at the art museum in Cleveland and saw something about hair

I went to the Cleveland Museum of Art last weekend and spent a long time in the Renaissance portrait gallery. I noticed that in almost every single painting, the subjects had these incredibly intricate braids and hairpieces, way more complex than I'd ever tried. It hit me that those artists were basically documenting the hairstyling trends of the 1500s, just like we post photos now. Has anyone else gotten styling ideas from old paintings or historical art?

My hair can't even handle a basic ponytail.

Double down on that silk scrunchie suggestion, silk pillowcases made a bigger difference for my fragile hair.

Used to think my hair was just being difficult until I tried a silk scrunchie. The regular elastic ones would always leave a huge dent and break strands. This one weird trick actually lets me put it up without the damage or the weird kink. Totally changed my game for days when I just need it out of my face. Might be worth a shot if you're dealing with the same thing.
