Pro tip: a rep from the state board told me only about 60% of my kit actually needs to be on the sanitized tray
I sat through a continuing ed class last month in Columbus and the instructor pulled up the actual rule text for our kit setup. She said most of us drag out twice the tools we touch in a single service, and only around 60% of a typical kit really needs to sit on the clean tray for inspection. The rest just has to be stored right, closed up, and swapped in when it's actually used. I went home and cut my setup down to 9 items and my station has never been cleaner. Has anyone else had a board rep walk through the exact wording? I want to know if that 60% number holds up in other states.
