Shoutout to the stylist who showed me how feathering works on thick hair

I watched her take a client from a heavy blunt cut to soft layers in about 20 minutes. The difference was night and day, especially around the face. Has anyone else tried this technique on super dense hair?

I read feathering on thick hair is basically witchcraft but in a good way.

My neighbor tried this on her daughter's hair, and the poor girl had been fighting with thick, heavy hair all through high school. She booked a stylist who did the feathering thing, and the change was so noticeable that the kid's volleyball team noticed during practice. The style actually held up for months, so I would say it is absolutely worth trying if you have that much density to work with.
