Spent $180 on a quality chair and my back finally forgives me
After 8 years behind the chair in Tulsa, I cheaped out on a $60 folding stool and by last month I could barely stand up after a full day of foils. I bit the bullet on a proper ergonomic stylist chair with lumbar support and adjustable arms, and honestly, the difference is night and day, my posture during cuts is way more stable too. Do any of you have a specific brand or model you swear by for long back-to-back appointments? I'm already thinking about a second one for my station at home.

I burned through three cheap chairs before I finally got a Steelcase Leap from a liquidator on Facebook for $150, and the gas cylinder and tilt lock have held up way better than anything new in that price range. Look for used office supply auctions around Tulsa, people dump great chairs when their office remodels.
