Why I stopped using a curette on every single facial after what I saw at a trade show in Dallas
I was at the Dallas Beauty Expo last month and watched a demo where the esthetician went way too hard with a curette on a model with sensitive skin. The model's face was red for an hour afterward and nobody in the crowd said a word. I used to think extractions had to be aggressive to be worth it, but seeing that made me rethink everything. Now I only use a curette when it's truly needed, and I do way more gentle enzyme prep instead. My clients have noticed the difference too, less irritation and faster healing. Has anyone else seen a demo like that and changed how they work?
