Worst Saturday I've had in the chair in 5 years...

Last Saturday was an absolute nightmare. I had 4 clients back to back starting at 9am. First one came in wanting a total color correction from box dye black to blonde. I told her it would take at least 2 sessions but she insisted we try. 6 hours later and we got it to a brassy orange before she started crying. Then my next client no-showed. The third one brought her 2 kids who kept running around the salon and knocking over my brushes. By 4pm I was so fried I accidentally used perm solution instead of developer on a root touch-up. Client went home with patchy roots and I gave her a full refund. Has anyone else just had one of those days where everything snowballs?

Had a Saturday like that last fall. 3 color corrections in a row. By 2pm I grabbed 20 volume instead of 30. Melted some poor woman's highlights into a warm porridge. Booked her back for free and bought a new bottle of coffee. Now I keep a little "panic shelf" with separate labeled bottles for lightener and developer. Color coded caps too. Saves me when my brain is fried.

That panic shelf idea is genius. The color coded caps especially, I've definitely grabbed the wrong bottle on autopilot before. Might have to steal that system for my own sanity.
