A customer said my labels looked 'homemade', so I redid everything
I sell bath salts and sugar scrubs at a small weekend market in Dayton. Last fall, a lady picked up a jar, frowned, and told me the handwriting on the labels made the product look like a craft project, not something she'd gift. At first I was annoyed, but she was right. I spent $35 on blank sticker sheets and made simple typed labels with just my logo and scent name. Sales on those two items went up about 20% the next month, and I started getting repeat orders for gifts. Has anyone else taken harsh feedback like that and seen a real change in how people view their stuff?
