I used to hand-write every soap label, then my wrist gave out at the farmers market

For 2 years I sat at the kitchen table with a fine-tip pen labeling each bar of soap before the Saturday market in Spokane, taking about 4 hours for 80 bars. After an October show where I couldn't grip the pen by the last hour, I switched to a $30 label printer from Amazon and now it takes me 20 minutes flat. Anyone else hit a physical wall with their handmade process and had to automate something they actually enjoyed doing?

That wrist pain hits different when you're halfway through a market and still have a stack of bars left. I switched to printed tags for my product line after a carpal tunnel scare and actually found the labels looked more professional than my handwriting anyway. You can always keep one hand-drawn line for special batches if you miss the personal touch.
