DAE have a movie night go sideways because the DVD skipped at the best part?
So my friends and I had a cozy movie night planned for last Friday, and we picked out an old favorite from 1999 that I hadn't seen in ages. About 40 minutes in, the disc started skipping right during the big twist, and we ended up watching the same 10 seconds of dialogue loop about six times. We tried wiping it with a soft cloth and even held it up to the lamp, but nothing worked, so we just gave up and put on something streaming instead. Honestly the movie still gets an 8 out of 10 from me for the part we did see, but that night was more like a 4. Does anyone else have a go-to backup plan when physical media decides to quit on you mid-watch?

Check if your player skips on other discs, mine was the laser.
