Why does nobody talk about meeting buyers at their bank lobby?

Sold a table saw last Tuesday to a guy who insisted we meet at the Chase downtown. Weirdest thing, he walked out with a cashier's check from the teller and I got to count it inside where the cameras are. No more standing in a gas station parking lot wondering if the bill is fake. The whole deal took 15 minutes and he even offered me a coffee. Has anyone else tried this or do you always stick to the usual spots?
