10 years of tying off wrong and a pier cap finally showed me

I always wrapped my choker hitch the same way, the 'how I was shown' way. Then a guy from Local 3 pointed out on a 12 ton pick last month that my tag line was feeding from the wrong side of the hook. Has anyone else had that moment where a simple hand signal or knot suddenly made no sense after years of doing it?

Still catch myself grabbing the wrong side out of habit, but that fix made the whole rig sit way better.

Doesn't that just drive you nuts for like a week straight, @coleman.seth? I did the same exact thing after I flipped mine, and my hand still goes for the old side every time I'm in a hurry. What finally broke the habit for me was just saying "new side" out loud whenever I got in, sounds dumb but it worked.
