Just hit 5,000 hours on my tower crane without a single lost time incident

I was filling out my logbook this morning and the total caught me off guard. Five thousand hours, all on the same job site in Cincinnati, moving steel for this new hospital. It's not about the number itself, it's about what it means. Every single lift, every hand signal from the crew, every morning safety huddle added up. I remember a day last winter with 40 mph gusts where we had to shut down, and being frustrated felt stupid by lunch. That kind of patience is in that number. It's a quiet win that says the boring stuff, the double checks and the walk arounds, actually work. Anyone else have a streak they're quietly proud of?

Man, that's huge. I had a similar thing with my old truck, kept it running for 350,000 miles without ever missing a scheduled oil change or skipping a tire rotation. It's all those dumb little routines, like checking the tire pressure every Sunday morning even when you're hungover. The boring stuff is what builds the streak.

Watched my buddy's car hit 400k the same way.

Is it weird how proud you feel when a car just keeps going like that? I had an old Civic that made it to 380k and I swear I babied that thing more than my own health.
