Got phished by a fake tracking email from 'FedEx' last Wednesday, lost $200 before I realized it.

I ordered a package from an Etsy seller and got an email saying my delivery was delayed due to a bad address. It looked legit, had the FedEx logo and everything. I clicked the link, logged into what I thought was my FedEx account, and put in my credit card info to pay a $3 redelivery fee. Found out an hour later when my bank texted me about a $200 charge at a Best Buy in Texas. I called my bank and they reversed it, but man I felt dumb. How do you guys actually tell if a tracking email is real without clicking anything?

Oh man, same thing happened to me last month with a fake UPS text, felt like such a fool.

Got a text saying my "package was held" with a link at 2am and @morgan.mary I actually clicked it before I realized what I did.
