My dad's brilliant encryption hack was just adding .locked to file names. Had to break the news.

Gotta disagree a little, adding .locked just changes the name. Anyone can rename it back and see everything. Doesn't actually hide what's inside the file at all.

Actually that's pretty smart for stopping casual snooping. Most people would just see a weird file and leave it alone. Better than nothing at all.

Wait, is this even worth getting upset about. It's just renaming a file, not real encryption.
