Skipped the $4.99/lb chicken at Hannaford in Concord, checked the markdown shelf at 7am, got it for $1.99
I used to do all my shopping after work around 6pm and never saw anything good on the clearance meat shelf. Last month I started swinging by the Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road before work instead, and it turns out they sticker the meat markdowns first thing in the morning. Got two family packs of chicken breast for $1.99/lb instead of the usual $4.99, plus a pork loin for $6 total. Now I'm wondering if other stores around here do their markdowns at a set time too, or if it's just whoever's working that day. Has anyone figured out the markdown schedule at Market Basket or Shaws?
