I finally sprung for a $340 diesel compression tester and it paid for itself on the first truck
Had a 6.7 with a dead cylinder and my old gauge was reading all over the place, so I bought the good kit from the Mac guy and it found a bent pushrod in about 20 minutes. Anyone got a cheaper kit that still holds a steady reading, or should I just stick with this one?
That 6.7 with a bent pushrod is a rough one, glad the new kit caught it quick instead of you chasing your tail with the old gauge. Nothing worse than a tool that won't give you a straight answer when you're already buried in a job.
