Learned something about background resolution from my own mistake

I posted a piece last week where I spent hours on the character but rushed the sky. Someone pointed out my clouds had visible pixelation at full zoom. Now I check every background layer at 2x resolution before I even start rendering the main subject. Does anyone else find themselves double checking the little details they thought were fine?

Honestly, do you really need to zoom in that far on every little thing? Sounds like overkill to me. I mean, if nobody noticed the pixelation until you told them and they zoomed way in, who cares? Spend that extra time making the character pop instead of worrying about clouds at 200 percent zoom.

2400% zoom is just showing off, not art.
