That one comment at an art show still sticks with me

Back in 2018 I had a piece in a small gallery show downtown. An older guy stood in front of my digital landscape for a solid 5 minutes, then just said 'your sky feels like a Tuesday afternoon.' I still have no clue what he meant exactly, but nobody had ever described my work like that before. Has anyone else had a stranger say something weird but memorable about your art?

That Tuesday afternoon comment is actually pretty spot on if you think about it. Tuesdays aren't Monday where everything sucks and isn't Friday where you're hyped for the weekend. Tuesday is just there, kind of calm and steady with nothing dramatic happening. Your sky probably had that same vibe - not too flashy or moody, just comfortable and reliable. Sounds like he nailed it better than most people who try to sound artsy.

It's like that one coworker who's never the star of the show but you actually enjoy working with them because they're not annoying. Tuesday skies are the office friend you don't have to put on a show for.
