PSA: Your 'work from anywhere' setup is probably killing your back
I see so many people bragging about working from a beach chair or a hammock for eight hours straight, and it drives me nuts. I did that for a month in Bali last year, using just my laptop on my knees, and my lower back was a wreck. I had to see a local physio and spent over $150 on two sessions just to get mobile again. It's not a flex to work in a terrible posture, it's just stupid. You need a real table and a chair that supports you, even if it's just a cheap folding set from a market. That 'digital nomad freedom' doesn't mean much if you can't stand up without pain. Has anyone else learned this the hard way and found a good, packable solution?

My Bali back disaster involved a wobbly plastic stool and a laptop balanced on a mini fridge for three weeks. I had to do the old man shuffle to the pharmacy for pain cream. I finally broke down and bought a cheap bamboo lap desk, which was a game changer even though I felt silly using it. It's not much, but it forces my screen up a few inches so I'm not a human pretzel all day.

What about a travel monitor stand? I got a cheap foldable one that props my laptop up to eye level. Then I use a separate keyboard and mouse on any flat surface. My back stopped hurting within a week. The whole kit packs down smaller than a shoe. Total cost was maybe forty bucks.
