Update: My $200 portable monitor just died in a Lisbon cafe

It was fine for 3 months, then the screen went black and the company won't honor the warranty because I'm not in the US. Anyone know a reliable brand with global support?

Global support" used to seem like a marketing thing to me, but your post shows why it actually matters.

Yeah, it really hits different when you need help and it's 2 AM locally. Having someone actually pick up who knows what they're doing, no matter where you are, is a total game changer.

Hold on, is it really that big of a deal? Most stuff can wait until morning. I get what river_reed is saying, but unless your whole website is down and losing money every minute, a few hours won't kill you. It's not like you're calling an ambulance. It's tech support.
