Finally fixed the squeaky stair my dog's been scared of for 3 years

Ngl I put off this little project forever because I thought I'd need to tear up carpet and redo stringers. Turns out it was just a loose tread screw at the top of the landing. 20 minutes with a drill and some wood glue and the squeak is gone. My lab actually walked up the stairs on her own last night for the first time since 2022. She still stops halfway but it's progress. Anyone else have a tiny fix that solved a way bigger annoyance than expected?
