...and now I know exactly how you feel. I spent a whole weekend trying to hang a single shelf level about six years ago. Bought one of those little bubble levels from the hardware store, thought I was golden. Nope. Three different holes in the wall later, the shelf is still crooked and I just threw a picture frame on top of it to hide the tilt. You got further than me, at least your tile is up.

@michael_bennett11 that shelf story hits too close to home. I did the same thing with a curtain rod last year, used a laser level and everything, still ended up with one side higher than the other. Ended up just stacking books on the sill to make it look intentional. At least your picture frame trick works better than my crooked curtains.
