Had a real scare fixing a laptop in my kitchen last month
I was replacing a battery and a tiny screw fell into the open power supply. I now always put a towel over any exposed electronics before I start. Anyone have a better method for containing small parts?

That towel trick is smart! I've also seen people use a big, clear plastic bag to work inside of, like a mini clean room.

That clear bag idea is interesting, but doesn't it get really annoying with static? I'd be worried about zaps, or just fogging it up with my breath while I'm trying to see.
