Wait, you mean you actually saw someone's vise setup out in the sticks and it blew your mind that much? I feel that so hard because I had a similar thing happen at my uncle's barn in Tennessee last summer. He's got this old vintage Reed vise bolted through a 4x4 post into the concrete floor and I swear I stood there staring at it for like ten minutes feeling dumb about my little clamp-on one. It's like seeing how the real craftsmen do it just hits different when you're standing right there in person. I guess the photos and videos online never really capture that solid feel or the thought that went into placing it just right.
