My old drafting table setup was a joke compared to the corner desk I have now

I used to draft on a rickety kitchen table with a lamp clamped to the edge, tilting my board with a stack of phone books, no joke. That worked okay until I had to do a 40-hour set for a commercial building last March and my neck gave out by day two. Then I built a simple corner desk out of 2x4s and a solid core door, and now my monitor sits right at eye level with my board flat beside it. The deadline stress dropped so much that I actually finish my linework an hour earlier now. Has anyone else ditched a makeshift setup and noticed a huge jump in how fast they get through a full sheet?

Honestly, that line about the neck giving out hit me hard. I read somewhere that ergonomics can cut hours off your workflow just because you're not constantly shifting to see your work. I had a buddy in the trades tell me he used to flip his board on his lap until he built a real station, and he said his line quality got cleaner too.
