Foreman wanted me to nudge into the no-dredge zone this morning

Picking the job over the rules feels dirty, but my kid needs braces (and that's a whole other kind of pressure).

Look at the bigger picture for once. That no-dredge rule exists for a reason, probably to protect the riverbed or the water supply. Messing it up for a quick paycheck hurts everyone downstream. Your kid's braces won't matter much if the job gets shut down and you get fined into the ground. Sometimes the right choice is the one that keeps you employed and out of handcuffs.
