My dredge cab got too quiet after the radio switch
I've been running dredges for years, and the cab was always full of talk between shifts. Since the bosses brought in new digital radios, that easy chatter has mostly stopped. Now we just hear calls from the office, no more tips or jokes. A new guy last week almost dug too deep because he worked alone without advice. I think we lose something good when we stop talking face to face.

Was just reading how this happens in a lot of jobs now. Those digital radios make everything so formal, like you're only supposed to talk for work stuff. It kills the little talks that actually keep people safe and happy. I heard about a construction site where guys stopped sharing tips because of new tech, and mistakes went up. It's not just about noise, it's about losing that team feel. Bosses don't get that the chat is part of the job too, lol.

My buddy at a warehouse said their new headset system only allowed work calls. People stopped joking around and sharing quick fixes for gear. Soon after, minor errors piled up because that casual know-how was gone.

Your buddy's warehouse story shows why team chat matters, doesn't it?
