Seeing a shift towards more team huddles before the dredge starts
Lately, on every site I visit, crews are gathering for a quick chat before firing up the pumps. It's great for catching small issues early, like a loose hose clamp or low fluid levels. We never used to do this, but now it feels like we're all on the same page from the get-go. Honestly, it's cut down on those annoying midday breakdowns a ton!

How long do your huddles usually last? We started doing the same thing last season... it's wild how many small problems you can solve before they even start.

Ours run about 15 minutes, but they can drag if we're not careful.

Yeah we had that same issue. The trick is to literally stand up the whole time, no chairs. And put a big timer on the wall where everyone can see it. If someone starts going off topic we just point at the clock. Makes a huge difference for keeping things sharp.
