Just counted and I've patched over 500 nail pops in my career

I was cleaning out my truck and found a stack of old job notes from years back. Started adding up the little repair notes and hit 512 nail pops fixed. That's a lot of tiny holes filled and sanded. The weird part is I remember almost every single one because they're such a pain, especially in old houses where the framing moves. It feels like a weird badge of honor for dealing with other people's rush jobs. Anyone else keep a mental tally of the most annoying small fixes?

Wait, you're counting nail pops you fixed? I always count the ones I find in new builds from other crews, lol. Like when you see a whole line of them because someone used green wood or didn't nail off properly. Those are the ones that really stick in my head, because it's someone else's problem I have to deal with later.

I mean, it's just part of the job though, right? Those fixes are usually pretty quick. Maybe it's just me but I don't really keep a mental tally.
