Vent: I finally gave up on my old hand mixer for joint compound

For years I'd just muscle through with a drill and a paddle, but last month I saw a guy using a proper mixing drill with a low gear. I tried it on a job in Tacoma and it got rid of all those little air bubbles in my mud. Anyone else have a tool they switched to that made mixing way easier?

Read that low gear helps with bubbles, right?

Yeah, the air bubble thing is so real. I used to fight that for ages, just thinking that's how mud was supposed to be. Switched to a proper mixer last year and it was like night and day. The mud just comes out so much smoother and creams up way faster. I mean, it saves my arm and makes the finish work actually easier.
