Had a coffee with a retired union guy who said 'We used to pull three wires at once, now you kids pull one and call it a day.'

He was talking about old school 3-phase pulls in commercial buildings, and it made me realize how much the trade's pace has really shifted. Anyone still doing it the hard way on big jobs?

Yeah, the old heads would just tape the three together and muscle it through... we still do that on long, straight runs in new construction. Saves a ton of time if you've got a good fish tape and a clear pipe.

Totally! We did that on a warehouse job last month. Three wires taped up and one good pull through a long conduit run. Felt like a win when it worked.

I mean, I read a forum post where a guy said they still triple-pull on big feeder runs in parking garages. He said the trick is using a ton of that green pulling lube and having a good team on the tugger. Idk, maybe it's just me but that old way seems like a real skill.
