Pro tip: Spotting different panel layouts on a trip helped my rough-in work

I was visiting my cousin out in Arizona last month, helping him with a shed build. His local electrician came by to set up a sub-panel and did it totally different from how I've seen. They ran the feeders in a way that saved a bunch of time in the heat. I mean, idk if it's code everywhere, but it was slick. Maybe it's just me, but watching how other areas handle the same job is eye-opening. Now I'm rethinking some of my own steps for easier installs.

What's the point of a slick install if it burns down, like hernandez.morgan said?

Arizona electricians adapt code for heat efficiency.

My shop in Texas tried Arizona style shortcuts once and it created a fire hazard. Sanchez.mary is right about heat changes, but chasing speed can mean skipping safety steps we're super careful about here. I'd rather stick with my proven local code than copy a risky time-saver.
