Been seeing too many new guys skip the tension check on governor cables.

Pulled a job last Tuesday where a 6 year old install had nearly failed because someone didn't set the tension right, has anyone else noticed this getting worse?

Holy crap, a six year old install? That's wild that it held that long with bad tension.

mary_patel59 I gotta disagree a bit. Six years with bad tension sounds more like luck than the install being good. A couple years tops is what I usually see before something snaps or wears weird.

Maybe it's just me but this feels like one of those things where people overthink it. If it worked for six years without failing, maybe it wasn't as bad as everyone assumes.
