PSA: The new safety clips from that big supplier are junk compared to the old style.

Had one fail on a traction job in a Denver high rise last month, the spring just gave out. The old forged steel ones we used for years never did that. Anyone else run into this with the new batch?

Wait, are you talking about the red plastic-tipped ones? I thought those were just a different model for lighter duty stuff. The forged steel clips are still in the catalog, but they cost more now. Maybe they sent you the wrong part by mistake?
