That $200 nano-infusion facial machine I bought from a distributor at a mall kiosk ended up being a glorified water sprayer

I lost a whole weekend and $200 after watching YouTube tutorials that promised glass skin but all I got was a wet face and a weird burning smell from the thing after three uses, has anyone else gotten burned by those pop-up distributor deals?

...and the thing started making this high pitched whine that only my dog could hear, I swear. My cousin bought one of those "laser hair removal" wands from a guy in a mall parking lot and it turned out to be a repurposed electric toothbrush with a red LED taped to it. What gets me is how these pop-up distributors vanish like ghosts by Monday morning, no number, no website, just a wet spot on the counter where their table used to be.

Right? I half expect them to leave behind a smoking briefcase next time.

Man, that reminds me of what happened to my buddy Dave. He bought a "professional grade" pressure washer from some guys who set up in a strip mall lot. Said it was a discontinued model from a major brand, still in the plastic wrap. Got it home, unboxed it, and it was just a garden sprayer glued to a broken leaf blower motor with a car battery taped to the side. The nozzle was a piece of copper pipe someone hammered flat.

$20 says that same guy is selling "premium HDMI cables" out of a white van next week. My buddy fell for a "factory direct" speaker setup from guys who set up in a Target parking lot last summer. Boxes looked legit, had a brand name and everything. Got home and it was full of rocks and a note that said "thanks for the cash." These people are like weeds, you pull one and another pops up in a different lot selling Bluetooth speakers that are just empty plastic shells.
