Just realized my mom's soup secret was in the broth simmering time.

I mean, she never wrote it down, but now I get why it tasted so good. Idk, maybe it's just me, but those slow cooks make all the difference.

Is it really that big a deal? Soup often needs time to simmer for flavors to come together. Maybe you're just not letting it reduce enough. What kind of soup are you making anyway?
