PSA: My toddler's safe cooking corner
My two-year-old would grab at everything while I was chopping veggies. I set up a small table with blunt plastic knives and mushrooms for him to slice. What do you do to let little kids join in on kitchen tasks?

That plastic knife idea is GENIUS. How do you handle the actual cooking part though, like when things go on the hot stove or in the oven? My little one wants to stir the pot, but that’s a hard no for obvious reasons. Do you have a next-step task for that, or do they just watch from a safe distance?

Oh man, that's the real struggle, right? I got a little step stool and let my kid add the pre-measured stuff to the pot, like the spices or the pasta, after I move it off the heat. They feel involved but their hands are nowhere near the burner.
