Question about using a Mustad 4-in-1 rasp versus a standard farrier's rasp
I switched to a Mustad 4-in-1 rasp for my final finishing about 6 months ago. The difference in the foot's smoothness and the time it saves per horse is huge, maybe 3 minutes faster on a standard trim. I used to get more chipping on the hoof wall edge with my old rasp, but this one just leaves a cleaner line. Has anyone else found a specific tool that cut down their finishing time this much?

Wait, you're saving three whole minutes per horse just from switching your finishing rasp? That's crazy, I would have guessed maybe 30 seconds. How many horses are you doing in a day to make that add up?

My last barn had 20 horses a day.

Hold up, I gotta side with Sandra here. Saving three minutes a horse sounds wild for just a tool switch, even for @holly_green82 with a big barn. That math feels off unless you're doing something totally different with the new rasp, like maybe you were using a totally wrong one before. Most of the time is handling the horse and setting up, not the actual filing.
