Spent $85 on that 'must have' magnetic leg pad and it's a total gimmick

I saw a bunch of guys online raving about that magnetic leg pad for shoeing, supposed to help with posture and grip. Dropped $85 on it last week, tried it on 3 horses today. Thing slides around, caught a nail head on it, and actually made my stance worse. Wasted my money or did anyone actually get these things to work?

Yeah, that's just how it goes with most trendy gear these days.

Man I felt the EXACT same way when I bought one of those fancy magnetic back braces last year. Complete waste of money until I realized I was putting it on wrong and using it on the wrong type of horse. I switched to a plain old neoprene pad with some rubber grip dots on the bottom and that thing actually stays put. Sometimes the simple stuff works better than all the flashy magnetic hype.
