I thought adding fringe to a denim jacket was a good idea
I spent hours hand-sewing all this leather fringe onto the back of my jacket. When I tried it on, the fringe got caught in every door handle and chair I walked past. My dog even tried to chew on it like a toy while I was wearing it. Now I have a jacket that basically attacks my surroundings.

Man, that sounds like a total nightmare waiting to happen. I can just picture the fringe getting yanked by every doorknob in the house. The mental image of your dog going after it is pretty funny, though brutally annoying for you. We've all been there with a project that seemed awesome in theory but was a disaster in real life. Huge respect for all the hand-sewing effort, even if the jacket is now a menace.

Oof, that sounds so frustrating after all that work. I totally get how a cool idea can turn into a daily hassle real quick. Had a similar thing with some extra long straps on a bag that kept catching on stuff. It's the worst when you put in the time and then the thing just fights you every time you try to use it. Major bummer, but hey, at least you learned something for next time. Solidarity on the craft fail.
