That leaky basement I ignored cost me $2,400 in repairs last month
I live in Portland and my basement would get a little wet after heavy rain. I kept putting off sealing the cracks because it seemed like a small thing. Last month a pipe burst from the foundation shifting and I had water damage everywhere. The fix cost me $2,400 and I could have done the crack sealing myself for maybe $60 and a Saturday afternoon. Now I check my basement walls every month after any big storm. Has anyone else had a small fix turn into a big bill because you waited too long?

Happened to a friend of mine with their deck. They ignored a couple rotted boards for like a year, then the whole thing collapsed under their BBQ and they had to rebuild it for over 3 grand.
