Why does nobody talk about using a credit card to fix a stripped screw?
I was trying to replace a light switch in my kitchen and the last screw was totally stripped, wouldn't budge. I was about to go buy a special extractor bit when I remembered a random forum tip. I cut a small piece from an old gift card, placed it over the screw head, and pressed my Phillips head driver in hard. It gripped perfectly and I got the screw out in like 30 seconds. Saved me a trip to the store and buying a tool I'd use once. Has anyone else found weird household items that work for stripped screws?

Wasn't that a gift card, not a credit card?

Wait, so you're telling me they basically threw away free money? Honestly that's way worse than a simple credit card mix-up. Stella's right, that would totally wreck my mood for the whole week. Like, you have to watch the cashier scan that gift card and still walk away without using it. Makes me want to check my own wallet right now.

Yeah, that's a rough mix-up to make. Oliver's right about the gift card detail, which makes it even more frustrating. Stuff like that can really ruin your day.
